1. Animal Tour (duration 1 hour)

An experienced zoo school guide leads our visitors on a tour through the public areas of the zoo. The focus is on getting to know our animals. Funny anecdotes, insider knowledge and exciting stories make the tour an unforgettable experience.

2. Behind the Scenes (duration 1 hour)

An experienced zoo school guide takes our visitors behind the scenes and provides unique insights into the work of the zoo. From A for ape kitchen to Z for zoo technology, our visitors await exciting insights.

3. Highlights from the Zoo Tours "Animal tour" and "Behind the Scenes" (duration approx. 1.5 hours)

Visitors who cannot decide which tour to take can choose the classic option: A combination of both tours. This tour shows the highlights and combines exciting animal observations with unique insights behind the scenes at the zoo.

4. Encounter, Inspire, Protect: Species Conservation and the Zoo am Meer (duration: 1.5 hours)

This tour in the public areas and behind the scenes of the zoo focuses on conservation. Visitors will meet endangered species that could be gone from the plant in just a few years. An experienced zoo guide shows you exciting educational material that will help you to get "up close and personal" with the animals. Our visitors learn why the animals are endangered and what Zoo am Meer is doing to protect them. A tour that leaves a lasting impression on our visitors.

5. Winter Tour at the Zoo am Meer (duration: 1 hour, bookable between November and March)

On this guided tour through the zoo, visitors find out what the arctic fox, polar bear, mountain hare & co. do when it's freezing cold and snowing outside. Let's just say: our animals have no use for a hot cocoa or a thick scarf. They have their own tricks to get through the cold season. From "snowshoes" to air-filled hair, they have it all. A zoo tour that will leave visitors amazed by nature!

Combine your zoo tour with our daily seal and penguin feedings. Please note: Unfortunately, carrying along dogs is not allowed on the zoo tours.

Ticket prices

You have to pay a) the daily entrance fee according to your age (you can find the entrance fees here) and b) the price per guided tour:

b) Foreign language (English/Italian)

The above price is payable once, regardless of the number of people. The number of people per tour is limited to 20.

Cancellation of the booking

Please note that if you cancel your booking on the day of the tour, a fee of 30 euros will be charged. If you cancel in time (>24 hours in advance), we charge no fees.
