Duty of Supervision
Children under the age of 12 and persons who do not have the necessary maturity to observe the house rules or who, because of their mental or physical condition, require permanent supervision, are only allowed on the premises of the Zoo am Meer if they are accompanied by a person of legal age who is responsible for them.

Gift vouchers
Want to give the gift of an animal experience? Buy a voucher for Zoo am Meer Bremerhaven!
Give a gift voucher for admission to the Zoo am Meer - we are happy to issue these for day tickets and annual passes. Unfortunately, we cannot issue a voucher for a specific amount.
We will mail the voucher to you (plus postage) or issue it to you at the ticket office. If a voucher is sent by mail, payment will be made against invoice. You will receive the invoice with the voucher. (No prepayment is required.)

We need the following information to process your order:
- Your name and address
- Number of vouchers
- What type of vouchers you would like to order (e.g., for a day pass for adults or an annual pass for families)?
- Your phone number in case we need to contact you
We cannot process your order unless we have all of the above information.
Voucher validity
Vouchers are valid for three years from date of issue.

Annual passes are personal and non-transferable. Each pass holder will receive a card with a photo on it. The photo is taken at the ticket office when the annual pass is purchased. Children from 0 to 3 years of age do not yet receive their own annual pass.
Validity: Your Annual Pass is valid for 365 days from the date of issue.
Tips for your annual pass
To ensure that the renewal/issuance of your Annual Pass or the redemption of your voucher goes smoothly and without long waits, we have a few tips for you:
- It is generally possible to purchase an Annual Pass during regular business hours. However, due to the high volume of visitors (especially on Sundays and holidays or during vacation periods), there may be longer waits. Our tip: During these times, plan to purchase your Annual Pass after 4 p.m., as the ticket office is generally less busy.
- During the winter months (November through January), for organizational reasons, annual passes can only be issued on weekends.
As an Annual Pass holder, you have additional benefits:
- If you are accompanied by someone who does not have an Annual Pass, one person will receive the reduced group rate.
- Book a guided tour or children's birthday party and receive a one-time 10% discount.
