Living in colonies but very aggressive, the distance between two nests corresponds to nib range.
Fishes they hunt in nose-dive from a height up to 40 m
Untidy nest made of algas and grass, on rounded hill-tops and wide ledges, 1 egg in May brooded with feet for 42-45 days, a brood spot is missing. Young birds only get their adult plumage in the age of 5 years.
Length: 80 cm, wing span up to 175 cm
